Firmware 3.13 is garbage for the MK3s, stay away from it THERMALANOMALY, GO BACK TO 3.11
I have been battling this for MOST of the year and am quite fed up
I have FOUR MK3s+ all stock
all with genuine prusa hotends
all with genunie prusa enclosures
Firmware 3.13 does not work
Paused mid-prints due to "THERMAL ANOMALY" whatever that means.
As in it had been working fine with 3.11, with SMOOOOTH temperature curves (reported by Octoprint)
Now temperature is bouncing -5 to +15 degrees every few seconds.
How did they even QA 3.13??????
cmon

grin.. mine's at 3.11 for its lifetime ..

First did you do thermal calibration
Please help me out by downloading a model it's free and easy but really helps me out https://www.printables.com/@Hello_474427/models

Yeah, try to do the Thermal Calibration.

Good tip! This resolved my issue.
RE: Firmware 3.13 is garbage for the MK3s, stay away from it THERMALANOMALY, GO BACK TO 3.11
Had the same thermal anomaly when I first updated my printer to 3.13.2-RC1.
After a number of attempts to go back the previous versions (need to do complete factory resets to do that successfully btw) I realised I had to do a thermal calibration.
So I flashed the FW again to the latest version and then did the calibration.
Now the printer runs really great but if the calibration is so vital maybe there should be some indication whether or not the calibration has been done?

After going through the calibrations on my MK3S+ and continuing to get Thermal errors on 3.13.3 I finally did a factory reset and went through all the calibrations. Then prints would just stop randomly mid print and I'd see everything cooling down with no message or error. I've literally gone through a kg spool of filament dealing with these 3.13 issues over 3 days. I finally went back to 3.11, factory reset/calibrations and I'm back to printing without issue.

I've tried to run the thermal calibration and get nowhere. I start the calibration, the extruder moves to the center of the print bed, warms to 50C then errors out. Every. Single. Time. Beyond frustrated!

Hi
My 2cents. Also have problems with thermal anomaly, and only genuine parts. I have sw version 3.12 though..
For PETG I use 230°C for hotend and 80°C for bedtemp
When thermal anomaly occures, print halts and both the bed temp and hotend temp still shows the current temperature, but wanted temperature shows 0°C
Like this 230°C/0°C
I may resume print but the printer then changes wanted temperature to 240°C for the hotend and 90°C for bed, and it start to slip layers and print fails catastrophically.
After this occurred I started a diagnosis, and now I get both an X-axis and Y-axis length error.
I replaced pullyes (tightened the screws correctly) and changed belts, to no help.
Will try to revert to 3.11

I was having the same issue after updating to 3.13 and Prusa support advised me to order a new thermistor (not covered by warranty). I did order the new part but today I went back to 3.10 just to see what happens. Printing just fine..... I will probably install the new thermistor when it arrives.

The key is:
M310 S0
M500
Thermal Model Deactivated. Problem solved.
