Filiment broke off right at point of entry to extruder tube
Hi,
Somehow my filament broke off right at the point it goes into the white extruder tube. I've tried loading new filament but it doesn't seem to be able to push the broken piece through the system. Nor can I grab it with plyers and pull it out while doing an "unload filament". Short of taking the whole thing apart is there anything you can suggest? and if I do have to take it apart is there an "easiest" way to do it?
Thanks,
Karl

This happened to me ages ago. I pushed a long thing allen key into the pfte tube with the nozzle hot to push it down into the nozzle. Then I was able to thread in filament and push out the stuck filament by extruding it.
The only other way to sort out that problem is to dismantle the extruder enough to take out the hot end and tip out the filament.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunently what ever was wrong with it prevented me from making it budge a mm with the allen wrench. But I was able to remove just 7 screws to get to the extruder and replace the whole tube. It almost 'ooks like maybe the filament melted inside the tube and then solidified in a blockage inside the tube.
