Filament waste in extruder below bond tech gears, how to clean?
Hi everyone,
after my last print, I had problems unloading the filament (I had to pull harder than usual).
Loading new filament right now is not working anymore. There is a filament clog directly under the Bondtech gearbox (see also picture, sorry, it is rotated). I can't reach it with a pair of pliers.
Do you have any tipps for me how to solve this (except disassembling the whole extruder)? Are there any other things I can try first?
Also, there is some filament grinding on the gear itself, how to clean that best?

Okay, I've done it after all. I used a thin wire, heated it with a lighter and then drilled it into the filament from the side directly under the Bondtech gears. Then carefully pressed upwards. That was only a small prop on top as you can see in the picture. I think in this case I was lucky. But in general, how can I prevent this from happening in the future, does anyone have any ideas?
Remove the nozzle and push it upwards with a needle or a fine allan key.

Compressed air should do the job.
Also maybe loosen tension on the idler screw a bit to avoid grinding.
