Filament (TPU) stops extruding on MK3.
I have printed several TPU objects the last couple of weeks but suddenly I get a problem where I only get a layer or two printed. The filament then collects between the PTFE-tube and the drive gear. At least that is what I think is happening. When stopping the printer I have to open the cover and I can then pull out a bunch of filament.
The sensor is removed due to prior malfunction if that makes a difference.
Any ideas on what could cause this?
RE: Filament (TPU) stops extruding on MK3.
Going to answer myself here as I hope that I found the problem. I had problems with PLA not sticking to bed and adjusted Z-offset. My theory is then that this made the TPU not extruding fast enough and the gears feeding to fast for the hot end to keep up with. I backed of on the offset and fingers crossed it does seem to work now. I did manage one good print before my failures started though so still not sure this is the problem.
The Z-offset alone makes me consider a new current gen printer even though the one I have work fine (except for the Z-thingie). I think it has been the cause of all my failed prints since I started with 3D-printing.
