Filament sensor - Wiring error

I have a Prusa MK3s+ and I'm trying to run the selftest and its giving me the error message, Filament sensor - Wiring error. I've tried everything that I know how to do. I bought a new sensor, a new wire, tested the connection on both ends.

Clean out the sensor itself in case there is a scrap of stringing or dust jamming it.

Test the function by shorting and opening the connection - the sense should change (LCD menu), if not the board socket may be dirty or a track broken.

I did those 2 things and it didn't make a difference. (Also sorry I took to long to respond I thought I'd done it earlier)

The page says "Support -> Fil. sensor" and I can't find anything that.

I did. I read the entire article and tried to do the things that the article told me to do and could not find anything that it told me to do in the printer's menu.

The page says "Support -> Fil. sensor"

Depending on which version of the firmware you are running this might be:  Support -> Sensor info-> Fil. sensor

Scroll down with the clickwheel to find it.

RE:

How do you update the firmware? With octoprint or prusaslicer?

I once had strange filament sensor behavior. I used to update with octoprint. I flashed once with prusaslicer and problem solved. That way there is also an update of variables in the eeprom. With octoprint (avrdude), you update only the controller program. The reality may be more complex but it us more or less like that.

I did it with Prusaslicer but the problem started before that.

I got into the sensor info section but i can't scroll down or select anything on that screen (I don't know if that's bad or not) but I checked the sensor it wasn't showing anything as "1"

If the selector is not responding correctly try giving a blast of switch cleaner - otherwise contact Prusa Support via Chat: The Company tab at the top of this page.

No, it's just that it won't do anything in that menu. here's a video that will better explain my problem: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1M_i__HbRAfdVp1RjHYhDHnrNxSJanBJi
