Filament problems

I have this new filament from colorfabb, pla/pha shining silver.

I decided to get 2kg now to save money, but have had lots of problems.

First layer adhesion took a lot of effort, ended up lowering by quite a bit compared to prusament.

Quality is bad.

Then I get this jam after 99% of a print.

Ambient temp is 22, enclosure has doors open. Humidity is 35.

Printing on mk3s.

Any suggestions?

Well, I don't know why it got jammed in there, so I did a number of cold pulls with Nylon.

I then did a quick test print, and it seems reasonable.

Not great, but ok.

So I decided to proceed with another attempt.

This one is using a raft.  I don't even know where to stop pointing out the problems....

The first layer on top of the raft is terrible, it's pulled in the perimeters, which seem to not have merged nicely, part of the raft is damaged and sticking up...

However looking at the photo close up, and also the original failed print, it looks more obvious to me that I have gaps.

So I think I need to try changing some setting, and these are the types of settings I have never tried to change.....

I am thinking Extrusion multiplier?

Maybe temperature.  I am not sure Live Z is low enough.  Can you show just the first layer?

RE: Filament problems

Sorry, been super busy the last couple of weeks.

I did a test print today, and it's hard to see, also hard to focus the camera!

I think the z might be too low in fact, however this is a result of trying again and again to get a good print by slowly lowering.

Even if the first layer sticks, the upper layers in previous pictures look bad in and of themselves...

Update on this.  My test square was some gcode that sits on octoprint, a square for each nozzle.

I tried to re-export the gcode changing the printer settings to select the color-fabb filament, and got a much better result.

I will try to upload a photo, and also check what the differences are between the two filament settings out of interest.

At the moment it's running a test print.
