Filament jamming before PTFE tube
I have a Prusa MK3S in an enclosure that seems to get filament jams above the PTFE tube within a couple of hours into the print. The filament seems to bulge right out of the extruder.
- Could the enclosure reaching 31C be causing this issue?
- Could the extruder be too tight and repeated small retractions causes the filament to be repeatedly squished?
- I tightened to extruder to allow the filament to be pulled out from the top when the stepper is not energized.
My set up is:
- Prusa MK3S
- 3D Upfitters Enclosure for Prusa MK3S
- Prusa filament
- Upgrade titanium heat break for E3D V6
- Upgrade E3D V6 Heatsink collet clip
- Upgrade E3D V6 Nozzle X 0.4mm
Does anyone have experience with this issue?

RE: Filament jamming before PTFE tube
Could be bad filament?
Could be printing to cold for this roll of filament, then if to cold, the extruder keeps pushing but no room left to extrude, try higher temp, like 20C degrees higher.
You could have a partial clog, same as above. Change nozzle and see what happens.

@peter-m26
This happened with the original brass nozzle, and the NozzleX. Im printimg at 215C, but I will bump it up and observe. Thanks!
