Filament hard to get through above the extruder
Hi
I am having some trouble getting the filament through the extruder. If I push it myself it gets fine through the extruder and on the sheet, but I have to push hard. It's like that the filament is to hard to get through the two gears above the extuder. Can anybody help me troubleshooting?
I hope it makes sense what I am trying to explain.
RE: Filament hard to get through above the extruder
You do not push filament through the gears, ever.
When loading, you insert filament down to the gears, then, when you press LOAD on the LCD menu, the gears move and feed the filament down to the nozzle.
See page 23 of the Printing Handbook.

@tim-m30
Thanks for your answer.
The problem is that the filament dosen't get extruded through the nozzle. It's like the gear doesn't move around but just a little back and forwards as if the filament is to tight to get through the gears?

Then the tension screw is probably much too tight. The motor is strong enough to grab filament and drive it along, it will even shred filament that gets stuck.
There have been failures where the motor driver is bad and the motor doesn't turn at all. If you printer is less than a year old, contact Prusa support using the store CHAT window; they can help diagnose and replace parts if needed.
