Feature Request: Preheat Profiles.
I'd like to add/edit two preheat profiles.
1st would be an PLA COLD PULL @80C.
2nd would be to edit the "Cooldown" preheat to turn on the nozzle fan.
I frequently change nozzles and my current procedure from cold is;
- Preheat to filament temp.
- Unload filament
- Preheat "Cooldown"
- Turn Nozzle fan to 255 (100%)
- Change Nozzle
- Preheat to load filament
- Load filament.
Turning the fans on dramatically speeds up the process and I think that could just be the default for cooldown. It would be nice if there was a timeout on the fans too.
RE: Feature Request: Preheat Profiles.
Hate to tell you this but the forum isn't where you make requests. This is a user to user forum. The devs rarely come here.
All feature requests need to be made at the appropriate github project for the printer you want them on. For the Mk3 range that would be here https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/issues Please be aware that there are over 800 open issues already so please search with as many possible related keywords before opening a 'new' issue. Often people just end up posting duplicates. For example here is one requesting changes to 'streamline; nozzle changes https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/issues/2972
You could just create some gcode to run like a normal print that does the sequence of heating and cooling you want with the fan speed etc. That way you get control and no changes to firmware are required. Especially as the chances of that happening with the old 8 bit mainboard is very small.
