Feature request: Ability to skip one detached part on the plate. Can that even be done?

Hi,

When printing multiple parts on the plate, if the adhesion is tricky, one part coming off ruins your whole plate.

It would be a great feature to be able to skip the failed part and carry on printing the rest.

I don't see that being possible on the MK3 but with a PC linked MK4, wouldn't it be possible to pause the print, designate the failed part and let the slicer do a G-code re-write and resume the modified print?

It's probably much easier said than done...😂😂

This issue just happened to me as I write, two parts came lose, I paused the print, stuck some thin double sided tape on the bottom of those parts and placed them back in position and crossed my fingers...

So far it's working, my two failed parts will have to be re-printed but at least they're picking up their filament and avoiding a spaghetti mess, the rest of the parts are doing fine...🤞 8 hours to go...😂

This forum is not the place to make feature requests as it is a user-to-user forum, Prusa staff do not come on here.  Please post Feature Requests over on the Official Prusa GitHub site:

According to the recent blog release it's in the latest development release:

this function requires the new 5.1.0-alpha2 firmware and PrusaSlicer 2.7.0-alpha1

Unless you are really confident alpha versions are ... risky.  Take heart though, it is on the way, it may well be in the next stable firmware release.

Cheerio,
