faulty wiring on revo extention cable?

hey everyone,

I'm currently working at a school that decided a few months ago to upgrade to Revo hotends for the ease of use of changing nozzles and the like. they have been amazing up until one of the printers started fluctuating and eventually went into thermal runaway. I checked all connections and tightened everything back up only for it to happen again. we brought a new heater core. that gave the same errors, so I have been led to believe that it is the extension cables to blame. The only thing is they don't sell them on there own in New Zealand so looking for a way to test them and make sure before going down that route. maybe find a hobbyist locally who has access to a crimping set to add connectors to a new set of cables?

thanks so much for your help.

Jimmy.

Before replacing cables, first try to downgrade the firmware to version 3.11.0. It's also possible that the fan speed is too high and cools the nozzle down too much.
