Fan Speeds

At times I have lifting of prints (both PLA and PETG), which I believe are attributable to my print fan settings.  I have found that turning the print fan off completely eliminates this, but I’m sure the finished print quality is affected somewhat.  What settings do most other folks use?  And is it possibly that I need to modify my print fan shroud?

RE: Fan Speeds

In my experience, lifting parts is due to bed contamination; usually finger prints I leave behind accidentally when trying to remove parts.

Lifting in corners of large parts is plastic warp; and adding 10c to the heat bed usually helps.  PETG also tends to warp more than PLA - like ABS, enclosures are the most common way to deal with warpage: basically, keep the part the same warm temp while printing, and let it cool and anneal slowly.

RE: Fan Speeds

I think I discovered the problem - it was in the way I prepared the G-file - unchecked the Fan Always On box, set max/min speeds to 75%, and allowed fan operation after 3 layers.  The fan box for automatic operation was left checked.  Seems to have solved my problem....
