Fan Shroud Design Explanation?
I am at a loss as to why the fan shroud design blows the majority of the air on the heat block on my mk3s?
Shouldn't the airflow be concentrated on the plastic below? When the fan is on, the controller has a harder time controlling temperature. Especially when you are working with high heat filament.
RE: Fan Shroud Design Explanation?
do you have time to design a better shroud? there seems to be a lack of alternatives for the mk3S

Many just use a silicon sock to insulate the heater block. Not the best solution, but an easy one to implement.

Was your printer a pre-built or a kit? Depending on the position of other parts, there can be a lot of variation in how the fan is oriented. You might try loosening a few screws and seeing if you can get it angled better.
A silicone sock can definitely help.
