Failure on spiral wrap on heatbed cable bundle?

I have read that the spiral wrap causes cable fatigue over time, and Prusa recommends replacing it with a textile wrap. My question is:

Is this failure inevitable? Or just sometimes?

I got an early MK3 kit and assembled it with spiral wrap, and have been happily printing for these many months all kinds of neat things in PLA and PETG and even some stiff flex material, with very few problems.

As I prepare for the MK3S upgrade, I'm wondering: should I replace the spiral wrap on the heatbed cable bundle too?

Thanks in advance.

You might as well, you'll be unwrapping all the spiral wrap to put the new filament sensor in anyway, and the upgrade includes the textile wrap.

For sure, on the extruder spiral wrap. The kit even came with an appropriate piece of textile wrap. That will certainly happen. It's the heatbed cable bundle that I'm wondering about...

I would replace the heatbed cables with Flexible Silicone insulated wires and replace the spiral wrap, with braided covering, and I would make the cable bundle a little longer to reduce the sharpest bend radius. but if you are going to do this, print the new Heatbed Cable clamp assembly first!
