6 months seems short.

I highly recommend that you not print PETG directly on the pc sheets. I know people do it, but it tends to over adhere .

Out of PLA, PETG and ABS, PETG is the most useful and least harmful of the three. Prusa printer parts are printed on the powder coated sheets out of PETG.

If we have to avoid using PETG then the powder coated bed is pretty much useless, especially if we damage one then there is no way to obtain a replacement.

I am convinced these will never be offered for sale. Once all the vouchers and sheets have been supplied then I believe they will be dropped.

I hope not. Every sheet has limited lifetime. I've printed around 20 objects in PLA/PETG and don't see any wear and tear so far. Once the sheet cools down, all the objects are literally jumping off the bed. I love the texture and don't want to miss it.

At the end 6 month means nothing. You can ruin your sheet within one day. And we know PR rejects many sheets because of the poor quality. Means the quality range is also pretty wide. Maybe some people are getting slightly better and some slightly worse one.

I printed 99% ABS and 1% PLA on this failed powder coated pei sheet. Cleaned with alcohol and windex.

I was hesitant to print PETG directly onto a clean PEI sheet but I never had issues. I clean my PEI sheet with 99% iso alcohol before every print. I've only ever had issues with ABS over adhering and tearing the PEI off of one stickered sheet.

One thing I have noticed is that the texture of the PRUSA printed parts is a lot more coarse than the texture on my bed, so why does PRUSA use different textured PEI beds to what has been shipped?.
Now from what I can tell, they only print PETG parts in house as that is what is supplied as the printer parts, so maybe the finer texture is to give better adhesion for PLA, but this means smaller grit size, which could mean less adhesion to the bed substrate?, just a thought!.

Oh, and mine has also come away along part of the purge line. Printing mainly PETG and not a lot either, probably no more than 2kg so far.

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

Same here. No damage elsewhere. I've since just caked a ton of PVA glue all over the entire front of the build plate.

Yes, the plate that failed for me was an earlier one which a very fine texture on it. My other plate which I got about 2-3 months later was much more coarse and a bit more shiny.
