Extruder Clicking and how to make a strong solid object

Hi,

I'm a very new owner and need some help with my Mk3.  My extruder keeps clicking and this has coincided with noticeably poor print quality.  Are these linked and how to fix?  All I'm doing at the moment is trying to print standard objects using quality PLA.

Secondly I wish to make a solid sample tube holder and would like the parts to have the feel of the orange bits on the Prusa.  What fill % do I need to use?  At 15 % the object is just too flimsy and the top face is extremely thin.  Not sure if this is related to my extruder clicking issue??

Thank you, Ian

Quick question: Are you printing in an enclosure or room with ambient temps approaching 40C/104F? High temps can cause heat creep problems, particularly with PLA.
