Excess filament during initial print

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on how to fix my MK3s+ (around 2 months old) that is having an issue where as soon as the hot end gets to PLA melting temps endless filament will start dripping out. Within  10 or 15 seconds a line of filament will drop out maybe 2 inches from the nozzle. If i do not remove this line as soon as the print starts it will stick to the nozzle during the initial pre print and cause either filament to fall off the nozzle and land in the print area or it will just be a glob of filament on the nozzle that causing lots of stringiness until after the first layer.

The problem is even if i remove the filament as the print starts, there is still excess filament that builds up while doing the 9 calibration point tests before each print. That time is enough to build up filament that will stick to the nozzle and potentially cause filament to fall off the nozzle or start stringing.

Troubleshooting I have done with support:

- changed the z height from either too high or too low, doesnt change anything as filament oozing out happens before the print even starts.

- changed the extrusion from over to under extruding, doesnt fix it

- dropped the temps to where it doesnt adhere well to the board, no change

- thoroughly cleaned the nozzle and heat bed.

Just looking for suggestions on what I can do to prevent this initial excessive line of filament that seeps out as ive never had this before. Its mainly an issue first layer, but in the stringiness test prints i see decent amounts of stringiness so it seems like an over extrusion issue.

Some of us use a 2 stage start up process to stop it doing that.  As well as preheating the bed to give a more consistent first layer.  Its basically the same technique that Prusa implemented on the MINI start up.

Details on how to modify your start gcode to do the same can be found on Bob's website (along with many other great tips).
