Error while flashing Firmware
Hello all.
Trying to update the firmware on my mk3, since it keeps asking to at the beginning of every print, but I'm getting this error:
avrdude: ERROR: No valid record found in Intel Hex file "C:\temp\prusa3d_fw_3_4_1_MK3.zip"
Tried updating drivers on the PC, still no luck.
I have no idea what it is.
Re: Error while flashing Firmware
You need to extract the contents of the zip file and then select the .hex file when flashing.
Re: Error while flashing Firmware
Thats... Wow.
Now I fee like a proper idiot. It makes perfect sense, I never thought to actually check inside the zip.
I even read the guide and all and must have skipped that part.
I'm going to blame it on a rough work week and lack of sleep. xD
It's not even the first time I updated the firmware either..
Thanks!
Re: Error while flashing Firmware
I'm also trying to upgrade the firmware to my MK3 with the MMU 2.0. I am using a Mac. While I was down-loading the drivers from the website; the down-load would fail or stop. (The file size was 377Mb out of 428Mb). This is for the new drivers and firmware 3.4.1. After finally installing the drivers and running the software. The newest firmware has turned my MK3 into a brick. Need help getting the printer back up running.
Thank you, Jonathan
Re: Error while flashing Firmware
Update: After turning My Mk3 into a brick; I downloaded the first 3 hex files for the MK3.
Prusa3d_fw_3_1_rc5_6150.hex,
prusa3d_fw_3_1_2.hex
Prusa3d_fw_fw_3_1_3_mk3.hex
these are the only ones that can reboot your MK3.
I have tried all of the firmware (not including the MMU2) up to the current firmware which currently still fails.
