Error Min Bed Temp

hi

Its cold here in the uk. I have my printer in an enclosure. Its quite new and I have not encountered temp issues yet.

I get that its cold but the plan was get things warm in the enclosure and off we go. however the prusa wont do anything it just says error min bed temp, I cannot do anything, if I hit the button it just offers me a Z adjustment there is no settings to pre heat the bed or anything so I am stuck?

Cant you just go into the LCD menu and set the bed temperature that way ?  Get it heating up first.

Also what version firmware are you running ?  From 3.9.0 they lowered the MINTEMP value iirc from 15 to 10 degrees c.

Nope sadly not when you click the button all it offers is a z height adjustment. There is no menu.

in the end I had to point a heater at the printer until it warmed up sufficiently for the error to go away. A bit disappointing, it has its own heater that does not want to work when it’s not hot!!

Is the air temp below 16c ??  I thought Prusa lowered the MINTEMP to 11c  in some recent firmware. You might want to check on that. If nothing else, add a 100w halogen light bulb inside the enclosure and close the doors to preheat things. Or one of these:

[note: this thing is small and cute, but I'd find something with a thermostat]
