Err Mintemp Bed

My stock MK3 has been failing recently. Somewhere within the first 30 layers (it's happened at a different point each time) the printer will stop and say "Err Mintemp Bed." It won't go to XY home position, just stops where it is and cools down with no ability to recover the print. I tried reflashing the board to no avail. I would sincerely prefer to have a heatbed, as I have not yet perfected adhesion on a cold surface, and my roommates like to keep the AC running all day.

With a little bit of research, it seems like the error could come from an issue with the connection between the heatbed thermister and the board. The connections between the kapton tape seem secure by feel and the connection to the board has been reseated a couple times. However, I have noticed that the wires going into the board box have indentations from the zipties, and I'm worried the wires have been cut inside.

Before I go on an exploratory mission to open up the wire, is there anything else I should try? Would it be worth trying to solder them back together? If so, what should I look out for? If not, what are my options for replacing it and how much do they generally run?

Re: Err Mintemp Bed

a mintemp is usually due to a loose connector or a broken wire on the respective thermistor...

raise the extruder to say 60mm
preheate for PLA

then when the temperatures have stabilised, try moving the heatbed back and forth, with your hand, slowly, watch the LCD for error messages

if that is Ok,

move the extruder from side to side and watch the display...

broken wires are normally just behind the bed, or just behind the extruder
