Downgrading MMU

Hi,

I have a MK3s with MMU Upgrade, and I'd like to downgrade it, because I don't use it and it causes issues almost every time I start a print.

Is it possible to just flash a Non-MMU Firmware to the printer, and put the Filament directly into the Extruder?

Unplug the mmu. And the printer reverts to basic.

Auto load may not work as normal. Because you have to push the filament into the bondtech gears

Thank you.
It turned out, some of the problems I had with the MMU might have been caused by the filament sensor. The printer often unloaded the filament at the beginning of the wipeline and was stuck in a unload - load loop. After removing the MMU it still did the same thing.
I reverted the the filamentsensor back to its pre-MMU state, and now it works perfectly. It wasn't as much work as I remembered from the upgrade. I didn't have to open the wire harness to pull the cable back, I could leave the extra length as slack at the printhead.
