Did my thermistor break on my brand new machine??
I seriously have had this thing for about a month and a half and now I'm getting a error ERR: MINTEMP. I read the following KB articles https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/mintemp-and-mintemp-bed_2169/ and https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/multimeter-usage_2117 which led me to doing some tests with my multimeter. I'm getting 14.3Ω on the hot end and heater then 93.2kΩ on the thermistor. According to the fact that I have an MK3S I feel like those look good...but I can't beat the error message.
I tried a factory reset, but that didn't clear it. I really want to get back to printing.
Do these parts have any warranty? 🙁

Contact chat and they will let you know. The forum will not.

RE: Did my thermistor break on my brand new machine??
Yes, these parts are covered with warranty as well. My thermistor started to act up, causing nozzle underextrusion occuring 60-90 mins into the print job, esp. on low volumetric print tasks (filament carried away too little thermal energy which built up in the nozzle over the time, causing overheating and conseqent underextrusion of filament). After several days of investigation and trial-error troubleshooting I received new replacement thermistor from Prusa for free. My printer is 1 year old.
I suggest you open a support chat (go to Prusa eshop and make sure you are logged in, otherwise there is no chat window open) and speak to them as this mintemp error. might have many more causes, not just the malfunctioning thermistor.
EDIT: my wrong thermistor had approx. 70kOhms at room temperature (22-24C) and the new one had approx 120-130kOhms. My problems are gone since the replacement. You can measure the resistence simly unplugging the thermistor from the main circuit board, refer to your printed manual (almost at the very end of the book) where the layout is drafted, here you learn which connector to pull out.

@makak007
I contacted support and they are sending me a new thermistor. Hopefully that will fix this right up. I'm not sure how it broke all of a sudden, but at least it seems like a fairly easy fix...minus the wire clean up.

Fingers crossed it will help 🙂
Tell them to send along a few plastic straps (10pcs)
