Crash detected right after start of bed calibration
When I start a print, right after the PINDA probes the first calibration point, the printer detects a crash, at which point, it stops the calibration and continues printing, which leads to the print failing (e.g. extruded filament gathering around the nozzle instead of adhering to the bed). If I stop the print and start over again, the bed calibration proceeds as usual and the print goes on as normal. If I look at the fail stats, I see 42 crashes along the X axis and 4 along the Y axis, and I'm pretty sure I've had this problem more than 4 times. Where should I look to fix the problem?
Is this a new/newly built machine or one that has been printing OK for a while?
Cheerio,
RE: Crash detected right after start of bed calibration
It had been printing fine for a while. This problem seems recent.
With the power off, move the X axis by hand; is it smooth? Does the resistance stay the same over the whole range?
Clean and lubricate the smooth rods, check they are not damaged/scratched.
Check the idler pulley is not clogged, out of line, or damaged (loosen the belt and try turning it with your fingertip, is it smooth?)
Cheerio,
