cooling fins wobbling around

On my Prusa MK 3, I have a slight problem with my cooling block above the heater. I discovered that the cooling block is loose and wobbling around by about 1 1.5 mm, I suspect that its giving me faulty prints. Is there any fix for this that does not effect the air cooling?

Using stock Prusa parts, or did you print the extruder body?

My Prusa was a factory built model built by Prusa, not a home built copy.

I’d talk to support. You could post some pics here though so we can see what’s up.

I found the problem. My extruder cooling fan failed and had a slight thermal run away which melted some of the ABS at the base of the extruder body causing me to replace the fan and extruder body. Easily spotted when you compare the extruder bodies. Anyway it time to upgrade the plastics for an extruder with an angled print fan.

Did the fan failure detection not work?
