Compiling firmware and other adjustments for E3D Volcano hotend

Hi all,

I’ve just swapped the v6 for a volcano and I’m failing the self-test.
I’ve recompiled the firmware to accommodate for the longer hotend, and adjusted the Pinda as needed.
The firmware is still set for an “e3dv6full”. When I do the self-test the mk3s+ reaches the hotend test and maxes out at 60 degrees and fails the test. I’ve tried heating up manually and it works ok, I’ve also done a pid calibration. During the print the hotend works normally and maintains temperatures.
It's an Original E3D Volcano with a hardened 0.6 nozzle and the heater that came with it.
I can see that there's something in the firmware called NOZZLE_TYPE "E3Dv6full". Do I need to change it to accommodate for the Volcano's longer heating times?
Should I try a 50W heater cartridge?
What else did I miss?

Thank you very much for your help

RE:

What is the full error.

It may max out if it thinks that the temperature isn't rising in a period of time

You should time how long it takes for the nozzle to heat up and see if it is much longer
