Com Port Won't Connect (Firmware Update, Win10) SOLVED!
I found that I could not connect to my MK3 to update the firmware with Slic3r PE.
I am using a Prusa i3 MK3 with a Raspberry Pi OctoPi. (Computer is a RAZER Laptop.)
I had already shutdown OctoPi (turned off the Raspberry Pi) , and turned off the Pi Port in the Prusa Settings Menu. Why would this thing not connect...
SOLVED!
I opened the Windows 10 Control Panel, and Went to: System and Security, System, Device Manager and found that the Prusa MK3 was indeed registered in the Ports (COM & LPT) As Com3... Ok, Well, so was a Bluetooth serial interface for this computer (also registered as Com 3. Nothing I did seemed to change what port the Prusa MK3 would be assigned... Always com3.
So, I went to Windows 10 Settings, and turned off the Bluetooth. Vioal! The Ports only showed the Prusa MK3 using Com3, and the Firmware Flash went flawlessly.
