collision detection and calibration failure

My printer is I3 MK3S (no modifications, printed only in PLA and some in PETG)

My printer sterted to detect collisions recently (mostly Y, sometimes X axis). I checked the mechanical condition of the printer (belt tensions, bearings, lubricant, nozzle condition, any possible collisions). It did not help. I thought that the problem might me caused by the bearing but after additional lubricant it seams to work ok. Even thou the collisions were still detected. I tried to recallibrate the printer but it can not find the callibration points now. I updated the firmware and it still can't find callibration points. I tried to move PINDA sensor down a little bit and still nothing.

Any ideas ?

RE: collision detection and calibration failure

Hi

Had the same problem.

1. Power off printer

2. Move the bed as far back as it will go.

3. Move the extruder body as far left as it will go.

4. Remove the steel sheet (PEI or PC)

5. Power on printer

6. Perform calibration as instructed in the manual (make sure the nozzle is clean and that you keep a sheet of paper under the nozzle).

If this does not work:

1. flash firmware 3.8.0. For some reason, i cannot do a X/Y/Z calibration with firmware 3.8.1. Firmware 3.8.0 works perfectly for me (assuming the above)

2. confirm the distance of the PINDA probe (check manual, the zip-tie method)
