Nylon/PEEK nozzlebrush Step data - The hole diameters must be adjusted according to the diameter of the Nylon/PEEK string: nozzlebrush

I use a toothbrush. You can get them in various stiffness and different quality bristles.

The better brushes will not deform or melt with the heated hot end.

They are cheap and readily available, your drawer may have several old ones, if not use your wives brush - it makes 3D printing more exciting.

I thought about tooth brushes but then discovered that most are made with nylon-6 which melts at like 220C.

I use an el-cheapo brass wire brush.  I know it's not steel based because it indeed feels kinda soft.  I'm now in the habit, when I begin a print, of checking for worms and 'boogers' and such clinging on the nozzle and brushing them off if needed.

Thanks for this.  Could you link me to specific nylon string that you use?  I'm just not sure what to get but I want something that won't melt.  Also, what thickness string is appropriate for the "nozzlebrush_0.80" head?

PA6 + PA6.6 Monofilament like this one (different diameters available): https://www.carbonscout-shop.de/Monofilament-PA-6-cord-O-08-mm-length-100-m.html . There are certainly manufacturers in your region.

I would recommend nylon, because PEEK is extremely expensive.

Got the PA6 mono nylon, but how do you print such tiny holes?!?!

@buckeyestargazer

With a 0.25 nozzle and a well calibrated printer If necessary you can rework the holes with a drill.
