Re: Cant install slic3r PE
Bump??
Re: Cant install slic3r PE
Possible corrupt ZIP file downloaded? I'd check the validity of it and if its bad, let Jakub know ASAP.
Re: Cant install slic3r PE
I downloaded multiple versions and tried on several computers.
I have reached out to prusa directly several times and they just do not reply to me.
Re: Cant install slic3r PE
I was having the same issue. I tried downloading the software package (applications and drivers) a number of times over a couple days using a Windows 10 Home 64bit laptop via the Microsoft Edge browser and continually got the same message. I tried everything you did (open as admin etc.) with no luck.
Then I went and downloaded the Prusa software package using an Apple Mac and after using a thumb drive to copy the .exe file over to my laptop the software opened and installed perfectly.
I can't say for sure what fixed it (and I haven't gone back and performed any tests) but, in my case, t's got to be either the Edge browser was somehow corrupting the software (skipping data) as it downloaded, or it was because I was trying to run the .exe file off of the desktop. When I transferred the file downloaded from my Mac I placed it inside a folder rather than running it directly off the desktop. That's a stretch though, and I'm guessing the cause of the problem was the former reason.
Anyway, good luck.
