Cannot load ASA
Printer (MK3S + MMU2) works great with PLA and PETG. It, however, doesn't want to load ASA filament.
Symptoms:
- "Load to nozzle" (or first layer calib or just a normal print)
- Starts loading filament
- Pushes filament to the extruder
- Bondtech in the extruder spins for a while
- Returns filament to the MMU2
This is then repeat three times after which I get a failure message.
Cleaned up extruder and MMU, cleared the nozzle (cold pull), problem still happens.
This printer was printing ASA (same filament) without a problem few weeks ago. I must have changed something in the meantime but I don't know what.
What exactly goes on in Merlin when printer loads filament to the extruder? Why does it decide that load was unsuccessful and that filament should be unloaded?
TIA!
RE: Cannot load ASA
Disassembled the hotend. There was a blob between the heater block and heatsink so most probably heatbreak was not screwed enough into the heater block. Cleaned up everything & reassembled. Works great!
