Cannot boot with filament sensor
It looks like I made a stupid mistake. After tidying up the cables in the Einsy box, I noticed that I had disconnected the filament sensor wires. In a hurry, I connected it to the top connector instead of the bottom one. The effect was that the printer stopped booting on the words "Original Prusa i3 ..." on the LCD. After disconnecting the filament sensor - the printer will start correctly and work without any problems.
Is this a normal symptom of improper connection of this sensor and the sensor is dead?
RE: Cannot boot with filament sensor
A new sensor is $15.19 US plus shipping.
I disabled mine years ago, on all of my machines. I have never run out of filament or had a sensor related issue since turning them off.
I'm not rich, but for $15.19 I would just get another and see.
Good Luck, don't let it slow you down.
