Can the wire assembly to the stepper motors be unplugged?

I have a replacement stepper motor inbound for my apparently failed extruder motor, but in the meantime i was trying to remove the cable from the motor, and it doesn't appear to be connectorized at that end.  Am I mistaken here?

I checked the resistance of the two phases (at the end of the cable), and i get an open circuit on one of the phases (the other is about 6.5 ohms).  I wanted to try to rule out any possible cable issue, but I can't get the cable off.

Do you have to remove the 4 screws on the motor to gain access to those connections?

It isn't removable at the motor end at all.  The wires will be soldered inside.

Interesting - I don't know why I assumed that it was connectorized.  So a bad cable in most cases requires a motor replacement (or some soldering and crimping skills)?

Actually - I DO know why I thought it was connectorized - that white piece of plastic around the wires where they exit the motor look a lot like a connector, and I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how to unplug it!  Eventually i just stuck a small screwdriver in there and pried that piece out to see it was just a bushing or strain relief.
