Can't calibrate after a print. P.I.N.D.A. problem?

I've had a strange problem since running a print a few days ago: my MK3 won't run a print since bed leveling fails with the error:
Bed leveling failed.
Sensor didnt trigger
. Debris on nozzle?
Waiting for reset.

The nozzle does not have debris on it, but I wire-brushed it to clean it anyway and tried again: same thing 🙁

I ran Z-calibration, but it fails on the right side of the bed, and I realized the PINDA probe's red light goes off about 3/4 of the way across, and testing it with "Calibration > Show end stops" shows it not registering anything when on the right side of the bed.

I flashed the latest firmware and ran a full calibration, but it fails on "Searching bed / bed calibration point 2 of 4": it grabs the paper and keeps going lower grinding the nozzle against the heat bed. It makes sense since the PINDA probe doesn't seem to work on that side. So I power it off as I'm supposed to, and can't get any further.

Any clues would be appreciated!

Hi, Try checking if your x axis is completely horizontal, run your z motors to the top, or calibrate xyz, then try again, my z motors were a little out of sync at one point and I had the same issue,
G'Luck,
Mark

Thanks @mark.r19, the axes go out of alignment when trying to do an XYZ calibration since it jams the nozzle into the bed on the right.

Then doing a Z-calibration, the left side gets to the top first, and then they level out. But then I'm stuck: I can't get an XYZ calibration to complete since it gets stuck (literally) at bed calibration point 2 of 4.

The big question is why is the PINDA probe not responding when it gets to the right of the bed.

Your Pinda wire probably has a break in it. Move it over to the right until the Pinda led goes out then wiggle the cables. If it comes on or flickers that will confirm the break. You will need to replace it.

Thanks! I mean... crap. That's it 🙁

Moving the cable harness makes the probe LED go on and off. I'll check in with Prusa Research on chat to see about getting a replacement. In the mean time, I'll be opening up the harness.

That is exactly my issue. I got the same error message and the same nozzle crash. The light on the PINDA went out when I moved the extruder to the right. I am posting so maybe Prusa will add replacement probes to its shopping site.
