Cabel from the Hotend is broken

Hello together,

i have seen that one cabel from the Hotend is not correct. So, when I bent it it is completely broken.

what can I do?

Is it possible to solder the broken cable on the Hotend or should I change the completed Hotend?

thank you in advanced

Hi,

can you identify which cable it is? Soldering cables from fans is not an issue, if it does not physically block the movement of the extruder or so.

RE: Cabel from the Hotend is broken

you'll be needing to invest in a new heater,

24 volts, 40 watts. for the mk3 and mk3s
I suggest that you get two, one to use and one spare in case you break another!
I also suggest you get a spare thermistor, as the cables are fragile. hopefully you will end up with a spare of each...

if you get a blob of doom in  the future, the heater and thermistor are at risk, but you will have spares on hand

regards Joan

Thank you for your fast answer.

Can I buy the spare parts directly in the Prusa shop?

Hi Florian,
the mk3 heater is 24volt 40watt
Yes you can buy from the prusa shop, (You need to be logged in, to see all of the spare parts. )

or from E3Donline  if you  go to this site, get the Prusa Specific thermistor....(this is the same for the  Mk2 and Mk3)
E3d have resellers in many countries, which may save you on shipping
