Hello,

I had to change the filament during a long print. I did it by "testing" the filament sensor, in other words I let the filament run out and waited the sensor to get in action.

This part went really fine, the sensor registrated filament run out, moved the extruder to parking position and waited for my action.

So I changed the filament an let the printer start again, but after it went back to printing position, I recognized that the heaters got switched of. Luckily I was able to act immediately, therefore the print was not lost.

Is this a bug in the firmware? Does anyone else recognized the same?

I am using the latest official firmware: 3.21
Print was started from SD card.

Never used this feature yet. If not a bug at least not a good UX. Different filaments might use different temps so I would expect a prompt for a temp before resuming. Resuming with target temps at zero sounds like a bug to me. Cannot imagine a reason for it. Issues can be reported here: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/issues

Thanks for the link, I will check if there is a similiar report already, otherwise I will report my case.

Regarding the different temperatures: Normally you change different coulours from same Filament type, e.g. Siver PLA by Gold PLA where the temp is not that big issue. Maybe if you choose different suppliers, but even than I would guess you can find a good medium value for the temp. I used once PRUSA and M4P PLA Filament in one print and that worked fine with the same temperature.

Mixing ABS with PLA or PETG won't work annyhow, so thats not an issue in my opinion.
