board crashed due to high temp?

Hi all,

With my MK3s I print from inside a self made enclosure, from which I'm not controlling the room temperature. I'm also controlling the printer with a raspi zero with octoprint, attached to the main board. While I print I leave the box door a bit open, just to ensure some air flow to lower down a temperature.

With PLA I print fine, no issues.

With PETG or ABS sometime the mail board is crashing, and the printer is left in an unstable state. I've noticed the extruder motor stops, but the hotend is at the expected temperature. The printer keeps moving the xyz axis. I'm printing such materials with the fan disables, as very susceptible to temp variations.

When I press either the menu button or the x to reset the printer, the display stops working and shows some random pixels.

I have the impression the board is crashing due to the temperature, but I'm not sure because it's not extremely hot inside.

Questions:

 - have you ever experienced the same problem?

- What is the tolerance of the main board? Where can find it?

- Shall I put a fan on the main board?

- Can the main board put outside the box?

- Any other suggestion?

Thanks
