Beginning of extrusion line curling up on first layers

Hi there,

Just started using my MK3S on the latest firmware for about a week now.  I finally got it calibrated correctly and was printing successfully (1 day worth of printing).  All of a sudden I noticed that when the extruder starts to lay a new line there is a curl that occurs (see picture).  It's starting to cause issues because then the next layer doesn't adhere correctly.  I tried calibrating the first layer with no luck.

Any ideas what I should triage to figure out where the issue is stemming from?

Thank you!

I'd start by cleaning your PEI sheet, not just with isopropyl alcohol, but with dish soap.

What technique did you use for Z calibration?
