Bed thermal runaway

Any ideas, I have taken the plate off and the thermistor is still attached. I have read about fan speed, unsure.

RE: Bed thermal runaway

If you have a thermal runaway from your bed it should not be related to fans. Fans kicking in (typically after the first layer) may lead to thermal runaway detection on your heater block that gets cooled by the air suddenly.

If the termistor is still attached it is most probalby defective or not plugged in properly. Have you measured the resistance of your thermistor?

By taking off the plate, do you mean the flexible steel plate or the heated bed itself?

When does this error occur?

Have you been printing succesfully before?

Did you inspect your thermistor wires?

We'll need a little more details I'm afraid 😉

Yes the heat bed, I see the wires under the gold tape. If I take that tape off can I get more to replace it correctly?

When does this error occur?

Sometimes in the preheat sometimes 25% sometimes 80%

          Yes

I have not removed the wires from the gold tape, but the rest of the wire seems fine.

Thank you for your assistance I am new to this printer.

RE: Bed thermal runaway

measure the resistance at the connector sockets on the end of the wire,
should be about 100Kohms for the thermistor and about 3.3 ohms for the heater wires.
