Bed Heater audible "clicking" new FW 3.7.1

Hello,

I just upgraded my FW to 3.7.1 and ever since i can hear an audible "click" whenever the bed controlling is happening (on-off to control temperature). I hope this makes sense... Is this something expected? I can't remember having this happen before i updated the firmware...

Best Answer by vintagepc:

Yes, it is normal. They had to backtrack on some PWM changes that eliminated the clicking because it made parts on the einsy/rambo boards overheat and fail.

The clicking is harmless, but if it really bugs you, you can buy the new black PSU from PR; it has been reported to not have the clicking.

Thank you for the response! It doesn't bug me at all. I was more worried about the health of the board.

Thanks again!

Happy to help - I know it drives some people bonkers so I opted to include that little tidbit 🙂
