Autoload Filament not working

Just finished assembling MK3S.  Works great, prints beautifully, except the autoload filament function does not work.  I have the autoload and filament sensor both "on" in the settings.  When I put the filament into the extruder nothing happens.  Wondering if my filament sensor is bad?  Manual loading the filament works fine.

Sensor is touchy.

Take the top cap off, loosen the screw, and maybe add a shim under the screw to raise the sensor.

Scan the forum for sensor issues. They are irritating, but almost always easily fixable.

You can also print fine if you turn the sensor off in firmware. You only lose autoload.

Well and end of filament detection, which does not work great anyway.

Good chance that the screw on top of the extruder holding the sensor ist just a wee bit tight. Been there....

I try to give answers to the best of my ability, but I am not a 3D printing pro by any means, and anything you do you do at your own risk. BTW: I have no food for…

Guys,

Thanks for your inputs!  I put a 0.5 mm shim under the sensor pcb and now it's working OK; autoload works fine.  I've only printed a few things thus far, but this MK3S is doing a beautiful job.  I love it!  And it was a lot of fun to assemble as well.
