Artefact introduced on periphery of printed part when there is a curved profile in the centre of a section
I have a MK3S with the latest firmware 3.8.0-2684. I'm using PrusaSlicer 2.0.0+win64 to produce a profile which is exhibiting an artefact on the periphery of the part due to a curving profile of a section in the centre of the printed part. I can send you the stl/gcode files if you require them with a picture of the artefact. I am not sure if the problem is caused by the firmware or the slicer (gcode).
The part is a large one taking 25hrs to print.

Very common printing issue. No single cure-all solution. But it has to do with printing time per layer, differences in print speed that result from cooling parameters, and plain black magic that is FDM printing.
If you examine the slice using the slicer feature selections, especially speed, you can start to see where these effects may appear, and ways to help reduce them. Printing perimeters slower almost always helps. Increasing perimeters can also help.
