Always beep when switch off the printer
Hi guys,
I assembled my printer several days ago. It works well except one problem:
Every time I switch the power off, I hear a beep from the printer. The next time I power it up and check the fail statics, the power failure counter will increment by one.
I tried power the printer off with printer fully cool down, it didn't work. The only way I can shut it down without a beep is to press the reset button then switch off the power immediately. I don't think this is a normal solution.
Did anyone experienced the same issue? I live in USA and the voltage here is 120V and I'm using the latest firmware for MK3S.

I'm having the same issue. And it is not a subtle or quiet beep. Very annoying. The printer did NOT do this on the prior version of firmware. This has only been happening since I updated to the most recent version 3.7.2
I'd really like to disable it.

are you switching off by the switch on the power supply or an external power switch ?

I turn it off using the power supply switch.

Same here, always by the power switch on the printer's power supply.

I've had mine do the same thing, and it started after the latest update.

Hello, I just completed assembly of my MK3S and it is doing the same thing. Found it odd for a loud beep when turning off the power supply from the switch. Can understand it if it is a design feature to let you know if power was lost but not from turning off the switch. Curious to see what Prusa has to say about it.

Any comments from Prusa? I will revert tonight to 3.7.1 as I don't want to wake up the whole house when switching the printer off. Is the firmware not tested before it is released? 🙁

There have been many discussion here on the topic. I'm not affected, but my understanding is that:
- It is an issue with the newer black power supplies only. Older silver variants are not affected.
- They are addressing it in the next release.
