After the Blob !

I'm new to 3d printing. I have a Prusa MK3, had to leave the print without watching the first layer complete. I came back to the Blob! tried to get it off.... the wrong way! So had to order a new hot endkit. a few of extruder parts melted just a little, I thought they were fine. After get the new end kit installed and
re calibration everything I found that the filament would not attach to the bed in the middle of the bed. I spent hours with tech support last night, we could not get it working right. After thinking about it, I'm betting that the housing melted just enough to make the hot end setting at a little bit of a angle, when you do the test.....it is great on the front edge but can not get it correct in the middle. Can anyone tell me if I'm right about this?

Thank you,

Craig

Keeping the bed clean is something new users learn the hard way. Hand oils and even PLA remnants will keep new PLA from sticking. Have you washed the steel sheet with soap and water?

I may be way off base, so a photo of the problem is also helpful.
