After running out of filament and swapping filament, Printer resumes printing on a wrong Z level

This is an issue, not exactly a problem I am having often (as I believe it is simply a corner-case problem).

First time I decided to let the filament sensor take care of swapping filament, and it did its job flawlessly, pausing the print, unloading the filament, waiting for new filament to be loaded.

Afterwards it asked me to select which filament Im going to load (I did not expect that screen and I accidentally pressed PLA though I was actually printing with PETG), it stayed heated up to 230C so it tried loading it. when I loaded new filament, it did not load correctly so I paused the print as it was moving to continue (this resulted in a rather bizarre movement of the extruder -> a slow movement to the position it was moving originally and than the normal pause-print behaviour), unloaded it, trimmed the end and used auto loading feature. Then I preheated once again to PETG printing temp. After resuming the print, the printer started off where it was supposed to (same X and Y coordinate) but Z coord was off by around 2cm.

In a step by step process (to try and reproduce this behaviour):

1. Let the filament ran out, printer pause and unload it

2. Select wrong filament to load (though this step might have appeared later in the process).

3. Trick the printer into thinking it is loading new filament (put it in so the sensor sees it but dont let it get pulled in)

4. Select the option: Filament color incorrect.

5. Select the option: Filament not loaded correctly

6. Preheat to original temperature.

7. insert filament normally and load it correctly.

8. resume the print.

If reporting a defect, you need to head over to the Prusa pages on github.com .  It would be a fluke if an engineer saw anything here on these peer-to-peer user forums.

Does it work if you don't try and take every "no, I screwed up my previous choice"? setting?

Hit the X.  Start over.  Load the right filament.  Slice for that filament.  Don't try and change filament type mid print.
