Additional Print Sheets?

Newbie here. Under what circumstances would I need these print sheets:

Satin Sheet

Smooth Sheet

Textured Sheet ?

Given that I already have the Smooth PEI Sheet that came with the MK3S+

RE: Additional Print Sheets?

Satin is all you need unless you want the coarse structure of the textured sheet.

Check out the Prusa Materials page (just google it) and you'll see it works with any filament (okay, not the new nylon I guess).  I use on all my printers almost all of the time unless I print a part that needs to look like the original Prusa parts.

It really depends on the materials you are going to use for printing. Take a look at Prusa's Material Table here. You will see that the Satin sheet works with a very high proportion of material types.

I print with PLA and PETG and I use the Satin sheet for both of those. Prints self-release and no glue-stick is needed - I highly recommend getting one.

I hardly use the Smooth sheet at all these days.

Cheers,

Tim

Update: @fuchsr beat me to it! 🙂

RE: Additional Print Sheets?

I'm one of those who has never used the satin sheet.

The main reason is that I am trying to keep similar sheets on the two printers I have, the Prusa and the Ultimaker.

The smooth ones are as of now the only type that is consistent between the two.

I really like the prints coming off of the Prusa textured sheet, and I am trying to find a similar one for the Ultimaker, but so far I have been unable to find a true drop-in (full-size, no cutting one down with a shear) textured plate that will work with the Ultimaker.  People have suggested this and that, but the only one I've heard of that is a true drop-in solution was a very expensive custom made textured glass plate.
