3M 468MP 200MP Removal tip

Hi,
I would like to suggest you an easier way to remove the adhesive by using a steel bar where you roll-up the adhesive and then remove it like you open tin can 😉
You firstly pull-up a corner with a suffisent length and then you place an adhesive tape in order to fix the corner to the bar and then you open the tin can 🙂
I've twisted the bar on both ends in order to have handles on the same plan. (My bar diameter is 8mm)

This is to remove the PEI sticker from the print bed, correct?

Yes 🙂
It works great, and i've also put the plate in a bag with paper around soaked of turpetine (less expensive than D-Limonene) about 30mn. The glue transforms in a kind of jelly.

Re: 3M 468MP 200MP Removal tip

i was just going to post about the economics of replacing the sheets.

So far I have spent
$18 plus $10 shipping for 2 sheets of PEI
$8 for 4 oz of limonene which got about 2/3rds of the glue off
$20 for 16 oz of limonene to get the rest off

even if it was $1 for the solvents it would be much cheaper to just buy another sheet, especially when the powder coated sheets become available.
I do not think I will ever, ever replace the pei stickers ever again.

Hi,
Just try to buy another one😉
For now they are not available😉
I've found 5 PEI sheets for about 20€
I've used about 50cl of turpetine (4€), it was m'y first time.
A steel bar (<10€) (I will reuse it)

4+4+10<30
Next time it will be:
4+4<30

But I agree with you, it's better to buy another one.

if you look around in the forum there are posts from people who have received the textured sheet, and it's not $30 it is $25.
as far as the pei you've found be careful of the thickness. when i went searching i couldn't find sheets with the same adhesive and the same thickness for any less.

i'd rather have the powder coated than these sheets any day.
