Y-axis noise

Please see video link below for demonstration of noise:

My new, pre-assembled Prusa MK3S 3d printer maes a rattling noise along the Y-axis. If I hold down the rod on the right side of the bed, the noise goes away (but affects the print) so I think it's due to one of the bearings but I don't know enough to really troubleshoot or fix it.
I tried putting some WD40 on both bearings but no luck/change.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Y-axis noise

WD40 is NOT a lubricant.

Follow the instructions here to remove it (yes, you NEED to do that else it will harden/gum up) and re-pack your bearings with grease:

Re: Y-axis noise

I non-silent mode my mk3s (bought as kit a launch) has a similar sound during y movement. I figured out it was the LCD PCB rattling in the 3d printed part. It seems that there's a harmonic resonance. Silent mode fixes. The other option would be to figure out a way to more tightly secure the LCD PCB.

Mine also rattled, a dab of hot melt glue soon put a stop to it! 😀

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.
