Will this Heatbreak Work

So I got the parts everyone suggested so I can put on a new heat block, thermistor, and heater cartridge. But when I took it all apart it looks like my main issue may have been caused from a leak above from the heat break.

Now my heat break is fused to the bum heater block, and I need a new one. Tried a heat gun, thing is jammed jammed jammed.

Any idea if these would work?

plug the heater in and turn the heat up to 250ish

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

if you can still tighten the nozzle properly so it seats against the heatbreak while hot I wouldn't necessarily worry. if it was stuck into the heatsink that would be more of a problem.

E3D has excellent online instructions on nozzle swapping and hotend assembly. The heatbreak is literally just a tube that links the hot zone (heater block and nozzle) and cold zone (filament feed and heatsink). The idea is that you want to keep filament below melt temp until it's where it needs to be. The heatbreak is a poor conductor of heat for this reason. It's also fragile. You can buy a Titanium heatbreak which is both stronger and better at isolating heat (a poor heat conductor). Filament leaking usually indicates a poor seal between nozzle and heatbreak. Be prepared to replace heater block, thermistor and heat cartridge as well, as they're often stuck together and easily damaged. Keep spares on hand.
