What Size Hole for Ball Chain?

The pink block will have a cavity for the ball chain shown in grey. What diameter hole should I shoot for in Tinkercad so the balls fit snug in the cavity? Balls are 3.3mm diameter.

Another Q: Once inserted and a cover placed over the openings do you think a PLA block of 9x6mm and over 20mm in length will sustain a pull of 10 pounds when the chain is under tension? (Assuming default settings for everything.)

Re: What Size Hole for Ball Chain?

With such a small part you can test multiple design sizes at the same time. I've noticed some minor size differences depending if you print along the X axis or Y axis. The part is set for 5mm, but it's 5.1 in one direction and 4.9 or good in the ohter. I'm still figuring that one out.

Create a cad drawing with the dementions you have listed and try increasing them to 3.4. Print both on the same run. To see if there is a difference based on direction print two in 3.3 and two in 3.4.
Place one of each size 90 degrees out from the other. Also increase the size of the connecting chain so that they fit correctly.
