What Paint+Primer do you recommend?

Hello Everyone!

I got the 3D printer for several reasons, and one of them being a way for me to build things that my wife can paint. She's the skilled artist and I'm more the crafter/maker. I know the easy thing to do is simply print in whatever color you want the object to be in the end. However without the multi-filament attachment that leaves things rather monochromatic. I would like to spice things up a little and add some details and color.

So what paint and primer do you like for anyone who uses paint? I get that it will likely need to be acrylic paint and we should probably prime the piece. I love generally Montana Cans and they have a plastic primer. My wife likes to brush on details; so I'm hoping for some options of acrylics in brush on techniques. Though airbrushing is also an option we have that capability as well.

My experience with PLA is that you may paint directly with solvent based paints like “Humbrol enamel” brand without a primer, but the better way is to start with a dedicated plastic primer. I use the Duplicolor plastic primer spray can, it really stinks when you spray it, but afterwards  any paint , also water based paint, will have excellent adhesion

Thanks I just grabbed the Montana Cans primer. I like their spray paint in general. Let you know how it works.
